About the event

Calling all bold girls and allies from 7th to 12th grade who are passionate about becoming changemakers!

  • Are there things that make you mad, sad or frustrated and you wish you can change it?
  • Do you have an idea that you feel passionate about but don't know where to start or how to make it happen?
  • Are you curious and want to learn how to design innovative solutions that can drive impact?

Design thinking is a mindset used to design for change. During this session, you'll be working with like-minded peers guided by an experienced professional at your table, to learn how to center your solution on the human experience, ideate playfully and creatively, and collaborate with others to develop a prototype of an initial solution. We'll share tools and approaches to apply these skills to create positive impact, and provide real-time feedback and coaching. Particularly for those who are planning to join our Changemaker Challenge, this will be a perfect opportunity to bring your team or form a team during the session to start designing your solution and receiving on-going coaching from professional experts. This is the first in a series of three events where you will learn to design and develop your solution, present and pitch to experts who can help you bring your solutions to life.

Meet our design thinking experts from Accenture

We will be joined by Lily Croll, Kate Garbe, and Kat Sanders of Accenture Song (formerly Accenture Interactive), the world's largest digital marketing agency. Together they bring a wealth of experience applying design thinking principles to break down and solve problems that impact people. They will facilitate various design thinking exercises to apply your learning to begin to draft a real-world solution to make the change you want to see, now.

Join us and bring to life bold ideas to create big impact!

This is an in-person event. You will receive a confirmation email with details a few days prior to the event. Please check your junk folder in case you don't receive it.
