Role Overview
We are seeking Volunteer Changemaker Coaches to join our Changemaker Team for the 2025-26 season. This will be a dynamic group of coaches who will guide female youth teams through the process of developing and launching bold, community-driven projects.
As a Changemaker Coach, you’ll support a small group of girls as they explore entrepreneurship, build leadership skills, and bring their ideas to life. You’ll serve as a coach, mentor, motivator, and project guide - helping them stay focused, solve problems, and grow with confidence. You’ll also be a visible ally and advocate, modeling what it means to lead with empathy, equity, and boldness.
Note: Applicants must be located in Washington state, USA.
Coach Profile
We are looking for highly experienced, proactive leaders who are ready to guide youth teams with confidence and clarity. The ideal Changemaker Coach will bring:

Experienced in entrepreneurship, project management, or community leadership, ideally with a track record of launching or leading successful initiatives

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a talent for guiding teams through ambiguity and complexity

A self-starting, solutions-oriented mindset, someone who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and follows through

A genuine passion for mentoring middle and high school students, with the ability to inspire and challenge them to think boldly

A deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and youth empowerment, and the ability to create a safe, affirming space for all participants
Time Commitment
We are looking for highly experienced, proactive leaders who are ready to guide youth teams with confidence and clarity. The ideal Changemaker Coach will bring:

Average/approx. 2 hours per week from October 2025 to March 2026

Includes virtual check-ins with BBG program team, monthly in-person events one Sunday per month from October to March at Microsoft’s Redmond campus, and youth team support
-
Monthly in-person dates include: October 5, October 26, November 16, December 7, January 11, February 8, March 8 (dates are subject to change)
Key Responsibilites

Coach a team of youth as they develop and execute a community project, with direct mentorship for 1-2 designated team leads

Support team’s project planning, goal setting, solutioning, and execution

Encourage creative thinking, collaboration, and resilience

Attend coaching orientation on October 5, 2025 in Redmond at the Microsoft campus

Attend monthly coach check-in virtual sessions (November-February)

Celebrate and showcase youth achievements at the Changemaker Impact Stories in March

Apply by September 15 at the Changemaker Coach Application Form. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and identities, especially those who reflect the diversity of the youth we serve.
Please note: All applicants must consent to and pass a background check as part of the application process. This is required to work with minors and will involve submitting basic information to Be Bold Girls program team for screening.
